What to tell us?

• Your Typora version and OS version
• Descriptions about the bug, if you don’t want to type then sending us a screenshot is also OK.
• A way to reproduce the bug or a sample file that may trigger the bug is very helpful for us. If the bug cannot be reproduced, then anything that may relate to it is also very helpful.

Logs

For critical bugs, like crashes or content loss, the log file may be helpful. You can find logs by:

• macOS

  Opening Console.app and typing “Typora” in the search input.

  Or see details here.

• Windows

  Finding typora.log under C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Typora or by clicking “Open Theme Folder” in the preferences panel and finding typora.log in the parent folder.

• Linux

  Clicking “Open Theme Folder” in the preferences panel, and finding typora.log in the parent folder.

If you want to send us the log (which is very much appreciated), do not attach it on Github for privacy concerns, please email it to us directly. The log file should not contain any sensitive data and we will only use it for debugging purposes and will delete it as soon as possible.
